Downtime is never desired let alone when it is unscheduled. The problems that arise as a result are increased if there is no adequate stock of spare parts. That is why a project for Orangeworks is only complete with the offering of a complete, well thought-out spare parts list.  "Thanks to our approach, customers can quickly resume work."

Vital and self-evident

"Although spare parts were not part of the scope for the project in São Paulo in Brazil, we have delivered a complete spare parts list", explains Theo Beerkens, project manager at Orangeworks. "That information is vital for the customer. That is why developing a spare parts list is a matter of course for every project. We work closely with the customer to ensure that we can recommend the right quantities. This way we are constantly looking for ways to improve our services. "

More than just a list of parts

“At Orangeworks we are convinced that a spare parts list is more than just a list of parts.”, Brigitte Nabuurs, Account manager Spare parts & Service at Orangeworks. “In the past years we have, in close cooperation with our engineering department, added revision kits to the spare part list. Many vendors only offer long lists of possible spare parts for their product but don’t offer revision kits. By maintaining inventory of revision kits, the maintenance team is able to repair parts and thus keep the costs of stock low. We have also improved our labelling system: each component in a spare parts package is separately labelled with references to the spare parts list and the system. Through these labels, the logistics can be efficiently carried out at the customer's location. "

Faster system restart 

Downtime will always have a negative effect on the profits of your organisation. However, the impact of the stop can be limited. Brigitte: "Thanks to a well-thought-out spare parts stock, our customers can resume their production faster.
